The Rod Jones On-line Art Gallery
This latest collection of abstracts came about after a sustained period of painting highly detailed architectural paintings like Hastings Autumn Sunlight, which, although very satisfying, left me wanting to break out from using a small brush and adhering closely to strictly figurative themes.
The unifying theme is the use of textures both in the paint and in the substrate where I have used sand and other materials.
