I produced this painting a few years ago during a painting day at the house of a fellow member of the Wokingham and District Arts Group. Everyone else in the group was painting flowers but my eye was caught by this semi-abstract composition and the contrasting textures of the lichens, bricks and mortar made it an ideal subject for pastels.
